Volunteers Fill Gym to Fill Bags
for Kids Against Hunger

The St. Paul's School gym was filled with volunteers on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 to measure, fill, seal, and pack 7,500 bags of food for Kids Against Hunger. Each bag contains enough food to make six meals, so 45,000 meals were produced in one day. This was the second year that St. Paul's teamed up with Thrivent Financial and Kids Against Hunger to help feed hungry families. Half of the meals were donated to Community Harvest Foodbank of Northeast Indiana and half are being shipped to Western Africa to aid countries that are stricken with the Ebola virus. Many thanks to all who contributed to cover the cost of the materials and to the 172 volunteers who helped package the meals. Special thanks again to Kim Frye, Thrivent Associate Representative, for planning, leading, and participating in this year's KAH event.
