Saturday, October 19, 2013. Thanks to All!

The Thrivent Foundation, Thrivent Fraternal Organization, and the West Allen County Chapter of Thrivent have given and matched many of your donations to this worthy cause. Many thanks to Kim Frye, Thrivent Associate Representative, for her hard work and leadership on this project. She was able to help bring the church and school together to exceed our goal of 40 thousand meals. 41,904 meals were packaged by over 135 volunteers. Everyone had a great time! Half of the meals packed went to the local Associated Churches Food Bank to assist those in need here in Ft. Wayne. The remaining meals are heading to Guatemala.

Special thanks to all of the school children for their generous fund raising and exuberant help in every step of packaging the meals. This event truly lived up to its title,"Kids Against Hunger", as they embraced every aspect of this project to help feed hungry families, sharing the compassion of Jesus with those in need.

Thanks to all volunteers for setting up, packaging, cleanup, your enthusiasm, and hard (but fun) work. It was a great day!
