AND MY MOUTH WILL DECLARE YOUR PRAISE, a companion
volume to "O Lord, Open My Lips" (1995) was recorded
by the children's choirs of St. Paul's Lutheran
Church and School, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The choirs
members are volunteer non-auditioned singers from
grades 3 - 8 who rehearse once a week to prepare for
their task of proclaiming God's Word through music
in the services at St. Paul's Church, where the
recording was made.
The title "And My Mouth Will Declare Your Praise,"
our response in the opening sentences of the Office
Of Matins, is likewise our response as God gives us
the words and music of these hymns to sing, the
voices to convey that message, and the faith to
believe what we sing. We hope that this recording is
helpful to parents, pastors and teachers in Sunday
Schools and day schools as they lead other children
to know and love these hymnic expressions of their
faith. To God alone be the glory!
