WITH HIGH DELIGHT was recorded by the Youth Choir of
St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School, Fort Wayne,
Indiana. The choir, comprised of volunteer singers
from grades five through eight, exists primarily to
proclaim the Word of God through music in the
services at St. Paul's Church. These hymns were
recorded during 2001 and 2002 in the chancel of St.
Paul's by several different combinations of these
singers.
Like its predecessors, "O Lord, Open My Lips" (1995)
and "And My Mouth Will Declare Your Praise" (1997),
this collection is intended to be a resource for
parents, teachers in day schools and Sunday schools,
and others who are interested in preparing children
for participation in the richness of the Divine
Service and Lutheran hymnody. We encourage you to
play this recording in the classroom, during family
devotions or in the car, and to sing along with us
or just listen and enjoy these hymns and liturgical
responses.
